Welcome to my newly revamped website. I hope this one both appears and navigates much better than the old one, which I designed myself. This new site was designed and developed Tom Giannini at Jeff Cave Design, who has done one fantastic job. Please see a link to his site under my links page. I’ll be adding to this journal periodically so please check back for recent additions.
The work continues on my CD (Flaming June) tracks and with any luck I’ll have a finished product for sale in September. Last week I appeared on the Fitchburg (Massachusetts) Access TV (FATV) program “Inside Fitchburg” where I was interviewed by host Bill Gates and hostess Joanne Hughes about my music and Fat Apple Recording. I also got to perform six original songs (all of which will be on my CD) along with Kris Lucander on bass and Tom Ruckey on drums.
In very recent news (like this past weekend), I’m planning to get married in June of 2007 to my long-time girlfriend and now fiancée Carol. Carol is an Associate Professor of Adult and Organizational Learning at Suffolk University in Boston and if you have not yet met her you likely will because she will with me on most of my upcoming feature performances.
Earlier this month I was honored to feature at Skip Jackson’s Five Star Friday open mike in Groton, MA as well as the Tazza Café in Providence along with Jeff Root and Heidi-Jo Hanson as co-features.
Saturday July 1st marks the launch of my summer residency along with Jeff Root at the Gazebo Lounge (within the Four Points Hotel) in Leominster, MA. Jeff and I will be calling our gig “Saturday Night Live with the Bongo Poets” and will run from 9-12 every other Saturday beginning 7-1-06 through 9-9-06.
